Perseverance Furthers

“Perseverance Furthers” is the phrase that came up more than any other back in the 60’s when, feeling the need for guidance, I would consult the I Ching.*

As such, it became a foundational understanding and influence in the way I have conducted this life, and instilled itself as a sort of subliminal directive.

What it actually means, however, is very simple:

Keep putting one foot in front of the other until you get where you think you want to go, or discover that the goal is something else altogether.

For in this day and age, when Consciousness is more present on the planet than ever before, and changes on the world stage come out of the blue like lightening strikes—shifting what-is and how we function without a care for the desires or mores of society—how can an individual possibly know the best place to position oneself for personal satisfaction and the fulfillment of ones higher purpose?

One can’t—because Life is an unfolding and we have no idea what may await us around the next corner. Especially since the veil has been lifted and we are no longer entranced by the lure of the ‘American Dream’ but understand that the dream we are here to fulfill is a collective one of “transforming the fabric of reality for the well-being of All.”

So we keep putting one foot in front of the other, appreciating what-is, learning from our mistakes, asking for direction, and evolving into the highest possible version of the being that we are.

I promise you: Perseverance furthers.

*The I Ching is a Chinese system of divination dating from 1000-750 BC, and like other ancient wisdom contributed by that culture, remarkably efficacious.
